Heat Wave

Ida enjoyed sharing her "cookies" and "cupcakes" with Baba.
Henrik appears to be developing into the class clown . . . Baba was entertained!

Henrik has been teaching Chad how to stretch after his bike rides. How come Henrik's so much more flexible than we are?!

First trip to Lake Superior this year. It was rather chilly, but felt great with the HOT temps.

The kids even managed to get Baba to go into the chilly water up to his knees.

Henrik was ready to go a bit deeper and had a blast being dunked to his chin. Ida, who isn't quite so fearless, was not interested in going that deep.

Baba, teach us how to build a sandcastle!

Some fun on for the 4th!

It's finally starting to feel like summer and the kids got to try out Henrik's new pool!

The 4th in Marquette wouldn't be complete without a trip to Food Fest. Henrik was pretty excited about his pizza!

Yes, they actually do get along quite well most of the time :)

We took the kids (by bike) to the parade. Henrik waved that flag pretty much the entire time we were there. Ida finally figured out how to scoop up the candy, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed!

Ida was pretty good at waving the flag too!

Fun for father's day

We packed (literally) the kids into the bike trailer and took them to the farmer's market to pick out a treat for snack and then on to the park for some fun father's day weekend.

Ida's first (ever) haircut

Before the hair cut . . .
approximately 6 inches came off . . .

The finished product. There wasn't enough to donate to "locks of love", but it was long enough to be used for making a wig at the MGH wig salon.
